This half term we will be moving onto fractions, money and time aswell as recapping our skills daily during 4-a-day. 

If your child visits another class for their maths sessions please visit their class page to find out more. 

Remember to encourage your child to practice their times tables often using TT Rockstars. Times tables are so important for them to achieve their full potential.

 

                                                

 

We will be reading The Last Wolf by Mini Grey.

Over the next half term we will be teaching the children how to:

• Use subordination (if, that)

• Add -er and -est to adjectives

• Use homophones and near homophones

• Use punctuation correctly – apostrophes for

contracted forms

This term our Science topic is:

Living Things and their Habitats

This half term we will look at the life cycles and features of all living things including plants. We will classify different species based on their features and discover more about the reproduction of flowering plants. We will even have some special visitors that will come to grow in Cherry class over the next 5 weeks.

PE

Pe is every Wednesday and every other Monday.

Children will need a full kit for this as listed on our website.

Homework

Your child will bring their homework book home each Monday and this is due Friday. Instructions are on the page and it follows the same format each week.

Children are also expected to read and practice their times tables regularly.
